Special Initiatives Underway for Mississippi River Basin and Great Lakes

Clean water, abundant wildlife, and productive agriculture are interconnected. Conservation doesn’t have man-made boundaries.  That's why NRCS is addressing natural resource priorities on a landscape scale. Our conservation initiatives benefit both landowners and the environment, provide wildlife habitat, and improve agricultural production.  Wisconsin is focusing efforts on selected watersheds for both the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and the Mississippi River Basin Healthy Watershed Initiative.
