Milwaukee River Watershed Eligible

The Milwaukee River Watershed in southeast Wisconsin was selected for the CSP program in 2007.  Signup for the program was originally announced for April 18-May 16, 2008.  On May 7, USDA announced the signup was extended until May 30, 2008.

The Self-Assessment Workbook is a tool to help you get a good idea about whether you may be eligible for CSP.

The Workbook will help you:

  • determine eligibility,
  • document stewardship to date, and
  • prepare a benchmark inventory of existing conservation treatments on your land.

Take your completed Self-Assessment and documentation to your NRCS Service Center to determine what category your application fits.  The Self-Assessment Workbook for 2008 is available on-line.  Printed copies are available at your local NRCS office.
