Wisconsin NRCS Recognized Private Sector Comprehensive Nutrient Management
Planners
Wisconsin NRCS recognizes the following private sector individuals as having
completed the training necessary to write and approve Comprehensive Nutrient
Management Plans (CNMP). These individuals may develop CNMPs funded by the
Wisconsin Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) but are not recognized
as Technical Service Providers (TSP).
Wisconsin NRCS requires that a CNMP Agronomic and a CNMP Engineering Planner
participate in the site assessment and development of a CNMP. This
requirement is based on Wisconsin state law which recognizes the planning,
design, or evaluation of manure and wastewater handling practices as
constituting the "practice of engineering." The siting of new buildings,
evaluation of existing buildings or structures, and assessment of stormwater
management practices also require engineering expertise.

(http://TechReg.usda.gov). TechReg
certified individuals are recognized as Technical Service Providers.
