Green County Site 1

Site 1 at the Tri-County Land Judging Contest, hosted by the Green County Land Conservation Department, Sept. 2008

Site 1 was considered Cropland and was located on a 0 percent slope on a plain. There was no mottling and no bedrock within the profile. The dominant soil texture was clay loam and sandy clay loam (20-40 inches of loamy material over sandy outwash). It is a Class II cropped field on level ground.


Green Co Site 1 Official's Scorecard  (pdf, 630KB)   Example of the official scorecard used for judging contestants.  Note that Establish Windbreaks is checked yes.  This is correct under the 2008 guidelines.  As of 2009, the revised definition for windbreaks would not apply to sandy loam textures, and this would be checked no.
