2009 Northwest Wisconsin Land Judging Competition

The  2009 Northwest Regional Wisconsin Land Judging Contest on October 15, included teams from Polk, Burnett and Washburn County schools.

The students review four soil pits and evaluate soil properties, estimate slope, rank land classes, and recommend conservation practices in the contest. The “Soil Study and Land Evaluation Handbook” is used for judging.
